Primarily photographed within Yellowstone National Park, these wildlife images offer a glimpse of the untamed beauty present within this unique ecosystem. In the spring before the mass onslaught of summer tourists and in the fall after the meadows and glades are no longer lined with flocks of people, I seek out coyotes, sandhill cranes, blue heron, grizzly bears, bison, elk, Canadian geese and the myriad of other varieties of animals frequenting the Park. Here wildlife are not only abundant but they tolerate a photographer working within a hundred yards or closer depending on the animal. Bison, elk, and bears require caution and a long lens. It is always my goal to disturb the animal as little as possible for my safety, for the animal's well-being, and for a natural image.
